Maths week has been in full swing in Analeentha NS this week. The highlight of our week was our evening of maths games. Children from all classes were invited to bring their favourite maths games to school. Great fun was had by all. The infants enjoyed games like connect four, snakes and ladders and Incey Winsey and the water spout. 1st and 2nd class brought games such as maths playground, cluedo and ludo. 3rd & 4th class enjoyed playing frustration and Cranium!!. It was very competitive in Ms.O’Keeffe’s room as the children enjoyed playing monopoly and the game of life. Maths games are a very worthwhile experience for your child and she be encouraged as much as possible at home. Well done to all the children for their participation in Maths week. Pictures to follow 😉

4th 5th and 6th class were lucky enough to be invited to Doneraile park to part in their annual orienteering challenge for primary schools. A great day was had by all as they navigated the Doneraile Park course in a bid to get the best time. Thankfully the weather remained good throughout and the wellies were not needed. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all. A big thank you to Jim Callnan for the invitation.

Ms. Allen’s room were having great fun recently as they worked hard at creating static electricity!!! Balloons were the key ingredient to the experiment. The results can been seen from the picture with many of the class returning home that evening with ‘Jedward’ type hair from all the rubbing. Great fun was had by all 😉

Analeentha took part in the recent Scith na Scol Football competition. Analeetha fought a hard game against a very strong Rahan team. Unfortunately victory was not to be ours on the day. The following Monday we faced Liscarroll here in Mourneabbey. It was one of the wettest days we’ve had this year but thankfully the wet weather didn’t dampen our spirits and we emerged victorious. Well done to all involved 😉
