Proclamation Day
Our Proclamation Day was held in the school just before the Easter holidays to commemorate the 1916 Rising. The event was open to all parents and members of the community. Our Chairperson, Oliver Cronin began proceedings by talking to the crowd and assisting Cian Walsh and Emma Church to raise the flag. Visitors were treated to Irish songs, Irish Music, a reading of the 1916 Proclamation, a reading of the children’s own current proclamation, Irish dancing, a recitation and a drama piece. It was a truly memorable occasion for all who were present and a big thank you to everyone who helped in any way 🙂
